Our Partners in Ministry
UMC MISSOURI ANNUAL CONFERENCESince beginning of this ministry, the Missouri Annual Conference has been LWS greatest partner:
• through this partnership funds were raised in Missouri to drill wells in more than forty wells, so far;
• funds were raised to acquire capital equipment such as trucks and a compressor;
• most operating and overhead expenses, during years 2004 to 2006, as well as expenses with restoration of the building were LWS now operates, were also covered by funds raised in Missouri. Through partnership with the Missouri Annual Conference and Lifewater International two rigs were acquired enabling LWS to start drilling its own wells.
LIFEWATER INTERNATIONAL
Lifewater provided technical training for LWS drilling crews as well as for the hygiene and sanitation trainers. Lifewater continues interacting with LWS through conferences, advise and other forms of communication.
INTERNATIONAL RELIEF AND DEVELOPEMENT
Another great partner in this ministry is IRD. With this partnership, LWS was able to acquire a third rig and develop a comprehensive hygiene and sanitation handbook, very useful for training local communities. IRD has also facilitated the acquisition of hand pumps at competitive prices, enabling LWS to lower operating costs.
UMC VIRGINIA ANNUAL CONFERENCE
This partner has sponsored a couple of costly wells in locations where the depth of the water table and soil nature required that third party drillers were subcontracted.
